She Loves Me is an adaptation of the play ‘Parfumerie’ written by Hungarian playwright Miklós Lászlós in 1937. Budapest shop employees George Nowack and Amalia Balash, consistently at odds with each other at work, are unaware that each is the other’s secret pen pal met through a lonely–hearts ad.
We Will Rock You, featuring the songs of Queen, tells the story of a group of Bohemians struggling to restore the free exchange of thought, fashion, and live music, in a distant future where everyone dresses, thinks and acts the same, musical instruments and composers are forbidden, and rock music is all but unknown.
Bodywork has strong links with St Paul’s Church and it is with great pleasure to present these two potted pieces of musical theatre for Artsfest 2018. Tickets £7.50
Bodywork Company is a Cambridge based Performing Arts College. Established in 1981, they also provide dance and musical theatre training for all levels and ages and a BTEC level three qualification in Performing Arts. The students performing today are 2nd year students on the Level 6 full time professional course in dance and musical theatre. These future stars of the West End present two pieces from two musicals.
