Rev. Dr. Ayla Lepine

Corita Kent: Nun, Pop Artist, Political Activist

Thursday 16th September, 17.00 – 18:00

This talk will take a trip to 1960s Los Angeles to meet a nun named Sister Corita, who made art, cried out for social justice, and brought colour to the world.

Revd Dr Ayla Lepine is an art historian and an Anglican priest. She lectures and publishes widely on artists who engage with Christianity, and is especially interested in how social justice and the arts can inspire communities. She’s also a trustee for the charity Art & Christianity.
