The Snowfall of Words – why the world needs more poetry

Mark will read and explore some poems by a variety of poets, old and contemporary, revealing why both religious faith and the world itself, need the ‘redress’ of poetry.

Mark Oakley is Dean of St John’s College, Cambridge. He is widely admired as a speaker and writer on faith, poetry and human rights. His book ‘The Splash of Words: Believing in Poetry’ won the global Michael Ramsey Prize for theological writing in 2019.
