A Good Friday journey through music, poems and art that has fuelled resistance, nonviolence and held people’s worth and value in the face of overwhelming odds – from the Sandinistas to the anti apartheid struggle, civil rights to the refugee crisis, Palestine to Black Lives Matter. Zena Kazeme, a young Syrian Refugee poet. will perform some of her pieces as part of this presentation.


Chris Rose is Director of the Amos Trust, a small creative human rights organisation that seeks to challenge injustice, build hope and create change by working with vibrant grassroots projects that are developing local responses to global issues. The charity currently focusses on Palestine/Israel, the rights of children on the streets (especially girls) and on how local communities can respond to the impact of climate change.
